|ARRT||27 category A credits|
|California||Accepted for CRTs, XTs, and supervisors / operators – Gives 4 hrs of Rad. Protection / Fluoroscopy and 7 hrs of Digital Radiography|
The course reading covers several areas of clinical radiology including: contrast agents, interventional radiology, chest-cardiac-breast imaging, abdominal and GI imaging, urinary and obstetric imaging, and musculoskeletal-cranial-spine imaging. CT, XRAY, MRI, NM, and fluoro procedures are covered throughout the course as well. Exam critiques are detailed – letting the technologist know what the radiologist is looking for (and what should be visualized in the images). This knowledge has a direct effect on radiation protection for the patient and tech – due to a reduction in the need for repeat exposures.
